Where does this bracket go???

Hey guys i just put on some new Gbody headers and took it out for a spin, well while driving this bracket fell off the car :biggrin: ... Do i need this and if so where does it go? I dont remember seeing it while installing the headers.

one end (the long side) slides under the long outermost a/c bolt that goes into to the flat compressor bracket , the short end goes ove the lower header stud at the driveside header #1 port and gets a 13mm headed m8x1.25 nut to hold it (same nut as the ones used all over the engine bay and on the bumpers)

Do i need it now? With the new headers

New headers should not matter as this holds the back of the alternator.

New headers should not matter as this holds the back of the alternator.

This one holds the AC compressor not the alternator. Im not advocating but I don't run this bracket on any of our 3 buicks and have never had an adverse effect.

Yeah i kept the bracket that runs to the alternator.
