I've bought my 87 grand national from the original owner with 30,000 miles , window sticker documentation bill sale everything. He had the quarters flared and 12 bolt w/373 gears ,295/60-15s , with a ladder bar set up put in it.

I had the opportunity to buy GNX rear and set up and jumped on it !

Leave the 12 bolt in there or swap it for the GNX set up ?

If the car performs good the way it is now, I'd leave the 12 bolt axle in there.(y) Also the flares look like they've been very well done (hard to say from that picture)…again I'd leave them like that! :)

Claude.

What do you plan to do with the car? I second the motion on leaving it like it is. Does it have the original motor as stock or is it warm? The original owner had to have some serious plans to put in a 12 bolt and a ladder bar set up! I can't imagine that with a stock motor. I am sure there is $4k+ tied up in rea/suspension work.

Sort of liking the look of the rear-only flares. Can you post some more pics from the side and front?

I planned on pulling the stock drivetrain out and In the process in building a 3.8 with a stroke kit. Ported timing chain cover , ported intake minus EGR , SCE gaskets Gn1 aluminum Heads , the list goes on ! I just want to go low11s all day long reliably !
