What other cars came with 8445 heads

I would like to get a spare set of heads to do my own port/pollish on (after I learn how to).

What cars do I look in? Year, model, ???

8445 castings started in 84. They can be found on 84-87 RWD 3.8s and on FWD 3.0 and 3.8s found in 84-85 Century,Ciera,Park Ave,LeSabre,Bonneville and Delta. On the FWD models they can be easily identified by the 4 bolts holding the cast aluminum valve covers down. Non 8445s have the center mount hold downs. If you are replacing the older 6293 casting also grab the accessory bracket mounting bolts as the 8445 switched over to metric threads. Eric Fisher

I do not know what the 6293's are. I just want to have a spare set of 8445 to play with and hopefully slap on my stock 109 block when it gets done over.

Know where I can find good info on head porting/polishing?

I think I can get you a set of 8445's to play with.

Search for "head*" and "stock" and "port*" on this site. There are a few guys on here who do it. Maybe they will share something with you.
