What did you do to your GN today?

Ran the last wire / cable for the big 4 wiring upgrade. I seen this on youtube and decided to add it.

I never had any electrical / charging problems to begin with so thats not the reason for doing it. It just seemed to make sense to have new 2 gauge wires than the old factory 8 gauge wires and i already had everything here to do it.

I reinstalled my battery today and started the engine. The alternator doesn't make the noise that it used to while idling and the scanmaster shows an improvement in volts as well. I read a thread on here and some of the electrical gurus say this doesn't help but it is what it is and you can't deny the results. Maybe it was just the new wiring, who knows. But it is done and for me it's one less thing to think about that could cause a problem.

This past week I started again on my late father's GN. Pulled the core support and header panel area apart for some powder coating and SMC repair. Fenders are coming off next along with the hood so I can start detailing the front of the frame. I Will weld all the factory seams on the frame as well.

Life often gets in the way of tinkering with the Buick as much as I'd like but I always make time to change the engine oil and brake fluid every 6 months or so. While I was under the car I grabbed on the front frame brace to pull myself into position and what-a-ya-know the dang thing was loose. Put a wrench on the bolt that goes into the cross member and sure enough the threads were stripped...It's always something or another with these cars . Anyway, grabbed the trusty Helicoil kit, drilled and tapped the hole, screwed in the insert and tightened the bolt back up. Helicoils....what a great invention (y)

I wen't down to the garage because I actually thought I'd work on it today. But instead I did a ghetto repair on my daily drivers exhaust.

Just took a few minutes to stare at the Buick.

I put the battery tender on mine today. And I looked at it. Been to busy with getting my daily to go to the body shop and fixing my girlfriend's Cobra. Hoping to get what need to be done to my GN done at some point before May. We'll see.

I put RJC's Razor Aluminum pulleys (bling with less rotating mass)on the Camino.

Painted valve covers and plenum satin black sanded the edges and clear coated them. Then things got crazy pulled about 30 bolts and a couple brackets and boom! The rusty look is gone.

Had it out last night. Runs ok. Still a few issues to work out. Filled it up with 93 and topped off the alchy tank.
