What did you do to your GN today?

We got a bunch of us together today to work on cars. We sanded the first GN getting it ready for painting, replaced the driver side exhaust header on the second GN as it had a crack in it, and fixed an overboost problem on the T- Type by taking apart the external wastegate and cleaning up the plunger. Mine is the 3rd GN in the row and miraculously we didn't have to work on it at all (knock on wood). Good way to start 2015!

Detroit Trutrac is in with 30 spline Moser axles and squeezed a set of BFG G-Force drag radial 315/30/18's in there with minimal rubbage. Meat City! Up from a 295/35.

More work on a bunch of cars. Steering wheel in one, wheels on another and a drive shaft on mine.

I made a new charge wire from the alternator to the battery. I used 2 gauge Accel lightning cable for this. I will install it this afternoon when it warms up a little bit. The old wire wasn't causing any problems but being 28 years old i thought it was a good idea to replace and upgrade it. I know the factory size wire was 8 gauge but i had this 2 gauge wire here thats been sitting for 2 years that i bought for another project that i decided not to do. I don't know if the bigger size will make a difference but it is new and that can only help. I also made a new ground wire from the battery to the fender using that 2 gauge wire.

Well this past weekend i had taken fresh pics of the engine compartment that i had just put back together after a good detail and cleaning, the trunk after the full Carpet Kit install and then the outside after i decided to put the GN wheels back on. Did all this to add to the pics and App i had turned in for the Super Nationals car show here in Albuquerque. But before i got them to the office yesterday i had got the call that my GN was chosen to be in the show. YIPEEEEEE!

I have been blocking out primer surfacer on my body. Painted the doors and color sanded them out. Hopefully next week I paint the roof, quarters, fenders and rockers!

Installed an ashtray switch panel.

Now I can finally turn off the Casper's Audible Knock Alarm when it starts acting up.
