What are the brighest lights for a TR??

After reading this thread about half-a-dozen times, I went out today and picked up XtraVision low beams and Silverstar hi beams. I live up in the mountains and drive through the woods every night jsut to get home, so this seemed like a good compromise.

I'll let you all know how it goes when I get the lights in later this week...I need to get the car back from getting the TE-44 and AlkyControl installed!

So why does everyone keep saying they don't make the Xtra Vision high beam?

And why did nobody mention the HID from one of the vendors here? Way below the $1000 some people are claiming

Probably because most of the posts in this thread are 6 to 10 years old and alradco has only been selling the HID lights for maybe 3 years.

I've done 4 conversions on GN's and numerous other cars and trucks. The HID upgrade is cheap and simple. The next GN I am doing is going to be a whitish bulb.

I'm installing projector lenses from Daniel with 100w halogen & looking at hid for them.
