Does anybody run Weld ProStars on the street? I am looking and want 15x4 but the every website/book says recommended for drag racing. Does anybody run these on the street and have you had any problems? Thanks

ive run them since 97 on the street

I like them.Mine say steet legal right on them. They are not recommended for auto-cross type raceing.Nice look on any G-body.

Ive ran 4 inch fronts for awhile .... now im going to run 3.5 on the front of a real street GN

I've got Prostars on my T... the 4" fronts can be a little bit squirrely if you have removed your front swaybay and are putting good power to the pavement. I like the 6" rim for the fronts... :D

My current GN... 15x3's up front with 185's and 15x7's in the rear with 275/60's. Factory swaybars front and rear. The car drives fantastic. Obviously it handled better with the factory rims under it, but the huge weight savings was worth the swap. :D

Never had a single bit of trouble on ANY of these cars below... in almost 20 years of using them.

My brother runs 15x3's on his Chevelle and his Camaro too.

I also ran them on my old GN and from 89-2001 on my old Camaro...

The ones I'm looking at say drag racing only right on the wheels. What do your wheels say?

Exactly the same thing. :D

I think it's more of a liability release if someone snags a pothole or a curb and rips the wheel off.

I've been running these things on the street for 20+ years.

Just be sensible and remember you have pizza cutters up front and they will not make 1g turns or drive over curbs. :D

Im running 15x3.5's up front on the GN right now, doesnt get driven a lot but the 165 tire up front with 3.5's is a little squirrely sometimes. Im looking to trade somebody for some 15x5 or 15x6's soon.

I have this set up on my Daily Driver for about 1.5 years.
To be honest they have never given me an issue.
However the 275/60 MTs require extra attention during a thunder storm...

I guess I should have said that I dont like the way the car feels with them on there........... they have never given me an issue either. I wish somebody made a 185/80R15 to give it some more tire height.

I have 205/75/15's on my 3.5 inch fronts they are 27.1 inches tall and look good imo with the 28 inch tall 275/60's on back

I run 15x8 in back and 15x6 in front...the only thing i don't like is that annoying ticking sound on slow turns...anyone get this? Just a heads up

These are what I run. Love em! In fact, I run 3.5bs on my mt dr's and 4.5bs on my 28 10.5 slicks w/1/4 spacer.
