Vinyl top removal...Quarter Glass Question

Wondering from anyone who has done this if the glass pieces and chrome/blackout trim around the glass is actually different between vinyl roof cars and non vinyl, or is it only the black rubber gasket thats different. Considering this swap, my glass and chrome trim is immaculate on my vinyl roof car, I'd prefer to swap these pieces onto a non vinyl gasket if I do the swap, unless that just flat out wont work

OK cool, was it a real pain to put the glass and trim into the other molding? I attempted this in a monte carlo once and I remember it being a very messy job.... Never finished I sold the car as a project

The rubber gasket is only diffrent but you really can't buy that part seperate anywhere. I have several of both forsale and I have both chrome trim and black trim
