This 86 T-Type came with 3 PROM IDs...

- Strip Chip (date 1991)
- Street Chip (date 1991) *currently being used in the car *
- Factory Chip

I read the factory chip timing is high, and some even say that our current 93 octane is not enough.

If you had to guess, what would be the specs on the Street Chip from what was available in aftermarket support back in 1991? I realize a scanner would answer lots of questions. I was just wondering what would be a safe octane to run with the Street Chip?

Nevermind, it's senseless to even waste time on it. I'll get some readings or just buy a new chip.

I wouldn't take a chance on chips you know nothing about  I'd do a new TT chip and call it a day .. also get a scan tool like a scanmaster to help you along

I discovered it was a Pitbull chip from 1991.

I'm getting a modern chip to run with the stock injectors and todays 93.
