Video transfer

Hi, I need some computer help.
I want to transfer a bit of a video I have (Car at the track) on to my HD.
What do I need hardware/software wise to accomplish this?

You need a video capture card (or they now make a cheap USB version for < $100)USB Vid Cap

You also want a fast hard drive. Do what you can to defrag the drive before capturing. It use to be a real art form to capture video w/o dropping frames, but most PC's within the last year can handle it just fine. (When you drop frames, your audio will fall out of sync, and of course the picture will be real jumpy).
