Need help. Have been having trouble with oil leaks for to long and tired of the headache. Whats the best way to put these on as far as sealant or silcone? For the valve cover gasket is the rubber ones ok? Just wanna know the proper way of putting these on so i can do it once and be done with it!

Got pictures of the leak origin? It might be something else leaking, grommet or drain tube. snap some close ups of the leak, you can use a little oil leak UV dye, just clean all oil before hand and run it a bit, drive and with a UV shows up where it's leaking. I only say this on account of always getting pissed my Valve cover gaskets would leak no matter. So i tried it and it showed it was a leak from the grommet

In answer to your original question: cork, smear O2 safe silicon on the valve cover side of the gasket and lay it in the valve cover, the side touching the head is left dry.
