Id be sure to open up the flange on the dp since it is most likely obstructing the turbo outlet. It will get really thin up by the top. Imo running that compressor with a 3 bolt is a mis-match of parts. You will hit a backpressure problem way before you come close to maximizing the compressor. With a 66 S trim i was experiencing slight boost drop off over 650hp (i only lost about .5 psi from 5400-5750rpm) but it was there none the less and i had a lot of tension on the wastegate. You should be targeting at least 750hp if using a 72 compressor and you will be trying to squeeze it through the same exhaust wheel and housing i was.
