Turbonetics Ceramic BB Turbo Disassembly

Hello y'all,

I'm trying to take my new to me 60-1 with a Turbonetics ceramic ball bearing cartridge apart so I can machine off the 44mm wastegate riser/adapter from the wastegate flange on the side of the turbine housing. Because this is in a hybrid, space is tight and the bigger wastegate won't clear the fan shroud so I can't use it. The flange riser/adapter hits the external Deltagate MkII that I had previously installed so it's got to go aswell. When I try to follow the disassembly instructions on gnttype.org it binds up on the turbine wheel and won't come loose. Obviously it went on that way but do I need to pull the compressor off of the shaft and slide the whole thing apart?

Thanks,
