Turbo blanket, ANYBODY HAVE THOUGHTS-PROS & CONS

For ones with 3 bolt exhaust housings and stock style waste gates, does it get in the way of the actuator?

This is what they look like now

These are mine after running all last spring & summer , about 2000 miles worth . The slight brownish color is the " high temp" VHT clear coat I put on to make it easier to wipe off grease & oil stains from the rough finish of the White Lightning ceramic coating . Good thing the discolored VHT comes off easily with a scotch brite pad and doesn't touch the ceramic coating at all .

I just got a black T3/T4 PTPturbo blanket to cover my 71HPQ. Not as good for heat reduction as the lava rock ones but I wanted black.

My $.02...The initial startup w/ newly coated headers.
I wipe them down w/ alcohol, to remove finger print oils, dirt, etc.
I jump the engine fan on hi, add a portable fan over the ft end of the compartment.
Start and run to op temp, making SURE the engine is not running lean, not leaking oil on them.
Cool down, check bolts for torque.

Just sayin'
