Torque converter question

I have a question or two if you guys don't mind? I just scored a BRF trans from I guy I know. It was a left over he had and it was rebuilt but the first thing is when he pulled the motor and trans he did not unplugg everything. Where th electric plug in is for the trans, that was pulled out and I have not ripped the trans apart but I was wonder if that stuff is the same as a 700r4 so I can take the parts from another trans I have. Also the torque converter that is in it, it what I was told from him is a 3000 stall. I really think he is full of it. I have reason to believe it is a stock rebuild. The torque converter is grey in color and the only numbers I find are 0529M stamped in by the piece that goes in to the pump and also 74 stamped around the weld that puts it together. Can any of you guys tell me what converter this may be? Thanks
