86 GN one owner, 174,000 miles very good condition! $10,000 or reasonable offer.

This is one of the most heavilly optioned GN's out there!

This has been my driver for 20 years now, but as much as it hurts it's time to part ways, have to thin the herd. I'll try and touch all the points.

Motor is bone stock internally, with the following bolt-ons:

The mechanicals:

PTE44 turbo with Precision .85 housing
MSD50 injectors
CAS V2 front mount
Dual intake staged pumps
rear end girdle
biggie filter
Vigilante 7 disc 3200 TCC
Don Wang built tranny with billet internals (original numbers matching unit)

The electronics:

PLX WBO2
Stock ECM
Translator Pro with Extender Pro chip
Scanmaster 2.2
Powerlogger
EGT
Boost/Vac
volts
oil
Tach
water temp

Interior:

Not much to say here. Excellent condition
A/C blows cold

Body:

Here's the detractor. Paint needs attention as will be seen in the pics
One minor rust spot starting at the driver's door, lower rear corner.
ATR dual 2.5 stainless exhaust with race bullet muffs.
Wheels perfect originals.

As a side note, I still have the original numbers matching block sitting on the shelf that can go with the car if it's an important selling point for the buyer. It's undamaged and was pulled at 130,000 miles. Pistons, rods and crank are also on the shelf.

On a final note (for now). If you feel the Translator Pro is too complex, I can convert the car back to the Translator + with the LS1 3.5 MAF.

So you rebuilt an engine that was from another GN?? How many miles are on the engine in the car??? Lost me on that one sorry

Sorry, should have explained that better. The engine that's in the car now came out of a wrecked GN. It was put in back in the early 90's. The original motor wasn't hurt or damaged, just miles, and I had this motor gathering dust so put it in.

WOW considering the miles this car shows VERY nice care over the years.

Good luck with the sale Dave. Should make someone a very nice driver.

Just remembered one detail I forgot to mention. The antenna stopped working and is in the up position. Sorry folks.

Any 1/4 mile times? Does the astroroof work well? Any leaks in the Astroroof? Any leaks from main seal or rear? Thanks.

I quit racing the car back in the late 90's, but back then, with good race gas, high boost (28), high timing (25) it ran 11.60's@117.5

Astroroof works just fine, no leaks that I'm aware of, but I must add that it doesn't get driven in the rain or left out, the car's been garage kept it's entire life.

Haven't noticed any leaks underneath. If there is a rear main leak it's no more than a drop or two over the course of a couple weeks (its normal sitting time).

Can no longer edit my original post so I'll add that I forgot to mention all the body bushings have been replaced with poly's including GNX bushings. HR Parts poly motor mounts, Hotchkis lower control arms.

I think I've answered everybody's questions. I'll post this pic of the rust I mentioned in the original post.

Don't sweat the mileage gentleman. As you can clearly see Dave is an enthusiast from his signature. At 10 grand, this car is a steal in my opinion......... lots of nice parts and a straight car to boot. Original owner too. GL w/ the sale!
