When I slide the Hot/Cold selector on my T-Type, the cable bends and the door under the dash does not open and shut properly. I know one cause is the plastic lever (GM part #3037629) breaking. Mine is fine. My problem is a plastic bracket on the cable that snaps in place to keep the cable from sliding when the selector is moved. It appears that this bracket is part of the cable. Is the bracket a part of the cable? Is the cable still available from GM? If it is, does anyone know the part number? Thanks.
