sunoco methanol

Does anyone know if it contains lubricant? Local M1 source is out. Track has Sunoco, but believes it contains lube. Tried finding info on their website but didn't see anything. Thx.

No methanol contains lube unless it was added after the fact.

Easy test. Put a few drops on a piece of clear glass. If when it evaporates you see a hazy film.. then it has lube. Methanol evaps clean.

Oil doesnt evaporate.

Thanks. Had called the track and the lady I spoke to indicated that she thought the last time someone had called in asking that question that they had responded that there was a small amount included. Thus the question, as she didn't seem too sure of herself.

I can't see where you are on the app, but I know here at our track (Royal Purple Raceway in Baytown) the do not add lube to the methanol that they sell. When I asked the same question the fuel guy told me that what type and how much was up to the user as some are very pickey what goes in their fuel systems.
