what should a stock rebuilt 85 t run in the quater. never made it too the track this year

i got to see on run here at fontana last weekend. ran 16.24 @85mph though

anywhere from 15.5-16.5 depending on the options, weather conditions and track prep. With the fuel mods and a good chip should it should run 14.3-15.0 depending on the above factors again.

My Dr Pepper 84 T ran 15 flat @ 91mph consistantly. Only had a K7N behind the headlamp with a straight tube to the MAF. Stock torque converter. Built trans. Probably would have been a bit slower if the stock air box was on it. And mine had 130,xxx miles on her.

JD,
Most may not know, but the 16.5 seconds you quote is based on my car which was one of the the quickest runs to date. (Actually more like 16.7- 16.9)
Hopefully, I'll get to low 14 someday with some more tuning.

thanks for the info. I gusse i will be spending some more money this winter

Bone Bone stock - original exhaust, Goodyear Eagle GT tires, no mods
at the GS nats about 4 years back 15.4@89 with pretty consistent
15.5 - 15.6's in 80ish degree heat. A few years earlier it was running
15.8-15.9's with one odd 15.5 that turned out to be removing the factory
floormat to pick up 3 tenths/mph.
