How high should you be able to stall on the trans brake with ported heads and a moderate sized roller cam?

That would depend on the engine output and converter. We see 5000 very quick on 800hp applications with a PTC 9.5"

Mine will stall at about 4600. I think based on the times it has run and some other calculations it makes around 625 rwhp with the current turbo.

The reason I'm asking is that I think the car might work better with a slightly tighter converter, but I think the spool up would be pretty bad with a tighter converter.

No 800hp. The same converter flashes at 5300 at the 2-3 shift and the turbo is all in.
