What piston gaps are you guys running with forged CP piston and total seal rings? Manufacture specs say with a 4.0 bore x .0055 blown gas* =0.22 top ring and 4.0 x .0035 second ring = .014 is this a good ring gap. Also do i need to get Quickseat or use WD-40 to seat the piston rings thanks.

Ill throw in my 2 cents. I would go with .024 to .026 on top ring. On the second ring we have actually been going .002 larger gap than the top. Lastest thinking is that this gets the pressure off the backside of the top ring and overall seals up better. FOR SURE too much is better than not quite enough. Also I run methanol and typically dont see over 1200 degree exhaust temps. You guys with turbos on gas I have heard of 1800 degree+ temps , I would think that would require more gap!!! Cant wait to hear other
opinions!! Mike:cool:
