Spooling a 6766

what does it take to spool this Turbo

I saw it run on a stroker combo a few months back and it spooled really well with a PTC 9.5" . It took a lot of wastegate to get it under 25psi boost. I woudlnt buy this turbo if you are looking to make 500hp. If you want 700+hp this is the turbo you want.

Ive got a billet PT6776 which i believe is the predicessor to the 6766. Mods in my sig. Currently running a restalled 2800 D5 with it. Mostly street driven and seems to spool pretty well overall. Ive got a PTC 3200 which should make it come alive off the line. Im still in the tuning stages but it overall has great street manners and puts me in my seat when i punch it. Hope that helps.

I have an Air Cooled CEA 6766 .85 which I will be installing in the next 2 weeks and will post results with it. The converter is a 17 blade PTC, rest of the combo is in my sig.

You should easily hit 70lbs/min by 22psi with that combo. Probably 750whp@26-27psi

A converter that stalls at 3200-3600 rpm at 0-1 psi with the .63 exhaust housing will spool it fine on a non stroked car that is under 9:1 compression. One local around here has a 6765 .85 in on a non stroked iron head car and it flashes into boost with his 3500 stall. Makes a joke of the street tires. Search 6765 and you will find a good thread by Kevin B.

Spooling it isn't a problem. Coupling the power potential sure is.
