Smc Pump Flow Test

Just thought I would add some data points. I did some test with my SMC kit the other day. I wanted to see what different nozzle configurations would yield. This was on a pretty new SMC kit with a long 4 foot line and the car not running. I tested with pure water and I’m sure there are some inaccuracies. I was just trying to get ballpark figures.

All test were done with a 10 second runtime. I'll be doing similar test with the Shurflow soon.

Single m4 43ml(4 gal/hr)
Single m10 77ml(7.3 gal/hr)
Single m15 100ml(9.5 gal/hr)

Dual m4/m10 103ml(9.8 gal/hr)
Dual m10/m15 141ml(13.4 gal/hr)
Dual m15/m15 145ml(13.8 gal/hr)

I dunno if it may come apart at the seams running it at full output. Its rating is about 10 amps for the motor..running it where it draws higher than that may lead to premature failure..just a warning...hence the reason for the pressure regulator on the top.

Ditto on the bury the needle thing..but dont know how safe it is to run that kind of pressure..and if its really needed..my car will flood at 125 PSI on twin 10's 27 PSI boost.

Good luck..be safe

Wow, just did a quick test with the Shurflow pump. 12.3 v supply with pump regulator bypassed, 10 second run. This had a bigger shorter line than my test with the SMC pump.

single m15 180ml(17.1 gal/hr). 80% more flow

It pulled about 11amps. That think can pump!
