should I bother swapping the TC?

A friend has a few TC's lying around and said I could have any of them if I wanted.

One is a 12" and one is smaller but I don't remember...might be 10". Not reaaalllyyy sure what the size has to do with much but I suppose smaller is lighter.

He said they both stall around 3000 +/-

So, on my stock GN with the usual go fast basic mods if I can get them for free and he will put one in for me...should I do it?

I want the car to have the same or very similar street manners. I don't drag race at the track but I do love freeway entrance ramps and intersections :) I have a need to be the first in line when I drive places.

Seeking opinions on if this will help pep up the car off the line or if it is a waste of time on a street-driven GN.

thanks,

Will

T C swap

If you still have the stock turbo and cam in the car the stock D5 tc is a good piece

If your pretty much stock and only drive on the street a 3000 stall is too much. Stay with the stock D5 :)

The 12" converter won't be a 3000 stall. At the most it should be 600 rpm looser than stock if it's been loosened.
