I have a factory astroroof on my '87 T.

Has anyone ever used Postons complete door seal kit for $134. Looks to me like the kit will cover both doors, top and bottom, with the exception of the sweeps (in/out)?

Any complaints about this application?

How about seals from Steele?

Last, but not least, are the GM seals really worth the money (install time, quality, durability)?

Please tell me about your experiences, good or bad, please.

Thank you.

I also forgot to include 1A Auto. Please let me know what your experiences are.

Thank you, again.

GM is best but most expensive

I've used Metro and the seals fit but the quality is not on par with GM. However, you have to consider the prices. Full GM is almost $1k for everything. Full kit from an aftermarket supplier is about $100 or so...

A compromise maybe???

The GM uppers are a must for relatively leak free existence and fit. An upper (aftermarket) misfit will leak and whistle which is an annoying maintenance issue.

While the Metro/softseal lowers and trunk would be fine on the other hand. So if you go this way .....you'll save on the bottom (+trunk) while PAYING a premium on the uppers.

My 2 cents.

Oh and the Astro roof seal is a separate GM piece - I don't think I have seen any aftermarket replacements for it.
