What are your thoughts?
This is the first IHRA track in the Southwest. I know Salt Lake City went IHRA last year.

I think the former Speedworld track manager, Bernie, bought this track. He also owned the LACR in Palmdale,Ca. Not sure what it means but Bernie is a great guy.

I'm not sure either.

but its probably good!
all I hear about nhra is not good, more mgmt intervention, more $$ required from entrants, it seems nhra only wants to feature the pro's
( money makers) and isn't interested in the sportman racers.

my knowledge of Bernie is all good, so hopefully that will be a good place to
race!

Thanks for the reply(s)
Yes, the new owner is Bernie Longjohn. He ran LACR for a few years and Speedworld.
I didn't make it to the track on Saturday but heard that he was making wholesale changes already. All for the better of the track.
One point was, The guy spraying "glue" got told to slow down, he was spraying more into the air and not onto the track.

I have to agree with the NHRA being more and more for the pro racer then for the sportsman racer. The more I looked into the IHRA, It looked like it is more sportsman friendly.
