great man to talk to .never met him in person but felt like i new him for years because thats the way he would talk to you and my 350 rocket and my 455 still running today strong .god be with him .stay strong.mondello family .peace!

hello: I know the name but never bought any of his stuff. When I had my Olds it was Year One where I got some things.
Like Edelbrock I never got any of there stuff either. I remember getting a W-31 intake for $100 and giving the car away and who knows what happened to it.

I built my 1st olds engine back in 87. Joe was about the only guy doing r&d back then.

I consulted him on my 79 TA 403 build. Very basic rebuild yielded 13.4s and could have gone faster if I drag radials. Good guy.

I've known Joe for the last few years. Been to his facility in TN many times, a guest in his house, been to dinner with him, etc... Just saw him a few months ago. The racing community lost a great asset that's for sure!!
