Removing coolant fan delay relay?

I am re-wiring my harness for my hybrid pjt. I have read that the coolant fan delay relay is expensive to replace and frequently goes out.

What is the downside if I remove it?

i recently asked the same thing and was told there is no real downside. The fan will run constantly when the car is running, but that's a good thing in my book. I was also told to remove the funky ceramic resistor off the ran and hard wire the wires together right at the back of the fan motor. The folks at caspers told me to do this.
