Questions about Cottman Diagnosis

I was told my 86 GN transmission has the following problems:

Clunky when shifted into gear from Park
Doesn't shift into Overdrive unless you let up on gas
Doesn't go into Lockup mode (I think this is what he said) when cruising highway speeds...runs at 4000rpm at 65 mph

I always thought it shifted hard, crisply and wasn't aware of these problems.

He says I need a rebuild. Any advice?

get a trans from someone who specializes in 2004rs.plenty around here.unless you enjoy what may turn out to be a three ring circus of crap from those who dont understand the trans in question.in car tested before shipping.you cant go wrong.
