question about vacuum/boost gauge

i had a vacum/boost guage installed and the needle only goes to the vacuum side how do i make it read the boost to? any help is appreciated

Nail the throttle out on 303. i think you will see the needle go from vacuum to boost right now.

You may have the gauge hooked to the wrong Vac. line...There is a check valve so that stuff that doesn't need to "see" boost doesn't...Try a different line, like the one going to the MAP sensor.

ok so that lead me to another uestion whats the map sensor

It's on your passenger side inner fender and has a small plastic line coming from it to around the back of the motor. It T's into a line coming from the vacumn block, connect it in there with another small T.

Use a 1/8" tee, zip ties and 2inch vac line pieces (1/8"). I made the cut when its closest to the firewall. Be careful when you cut, the line can be brittle and snap on you. The line is the second from the back of the vac hoses that come out of the top of the intake. It is labeled "to boost gauge" on the diagram on the AC box.

Josh-
I hooked it up to the MAP sensor Vacuum line when I installed it. It should read boost fine when a load is put on the motor.
