Pulling engine, Need help

Is there a way to pull the engine with the heads off? What Im asking is, is there anything to bolt to or to use to bolt to to do the pull? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!

Could you bolt the chain to the lower intake? If its still on that is, i think thats what i did when i pulled mine the rear corner and front corner

I wrapped around the driver sead header. Not sure where else to go on passenger side for you, I used the hook.

Guys the heads are off so you cannot hook to the intake or headers.Is there not anyone else not that has done this?

if your not gonna use your old head bolts use them at the corners of the block on top with a chain between them..Works all the time and im doin it tomorrow.

exactly what knucklehead said...

I had my heads off and used my old head bolts, across from each other bolted through my chain.

In retrospect, I should have just pulled the whole engine to start with. It would have been much easier to pull off the front cover and heads with the engine on a stand, rather than bending over to do it.

That's what my best friend with a Ford Lightning told me when he saw it Him and one of my good friends with a built 302 Mustang couldn't believe how small the block was

Yeah, I couldn't believe how small the block really is, I hvae a spare in my garage.
