Is there a special procedure for installing main studs? Are they installed in the block only hand tight? Is there any special thread mating or bolt stretching procedures? Thanks.
Make sure threads in block are absolutely clean...use a bottoming tap...I used a little moly lube on the threads and put them in finger tight...I think ARP calls for 5 torque cycles...
