Powermaster on my 1987

I am ready to change the brake fluid in my powermaster system. Right now I have Dot4 brake fluid is installed. I have heard that this fluid is not the right fluid and should ONLY USE Dot 3. Also should I use syn. or regular fluid. Can someone advise me what I should do. Thanks.

Dot 3 is the right fluid. I would not use synthetic unless you are really heating up the fluid.
