For you powermaster haters, I join you in spirit. For now I could not spare the cash to rebuild, replace, or redo my brake system. Fortunately a little investigation turned up a very inexpensive fix. Yes, in the world of powermaster haters you can add this little bit of information. In my case the embedded relay (or solenoid) on the motor has a back plate seal, this seal is a sticky foam. That sticky foam overtime distorted and prevented my relay from closing and thus engaging the motor. Manual attempts to activate the relay while the cover was on yielded no activity. After I pried the back plate off (removing the two screws) power still applied "click", "humm" and silence.I would personally like to slap whoever thought that sticky foam was a good idea with a relay so close to the cover.

My powermaster works flawlessly after I cut out the foam gasket.

Here are a few pictures for context.

I'm sure it looked good on paper 30 yrs ago. Count me as a hater that went to hydroboost and will NEVER go back, though I did save the pieces incase someone wants to after I'm gone. Glad you got it working.
