powerlogger and windows 8 fail....

I have had to update my laptop due to the fact my old laptop screen cracked. so upgraded and it came with windows 8.1. I downloaded most recent powerlogger info it is all in computer. but I can not get it to find drivers... I went it to device printer settings tried to update and it says error with drivers. So does anybody have away to fix this. Is there a setting or something need to adjust.... thanks in advance

Yes there is, PM turbobob. I believe you have to disable driver signatures. I am not sure, also try a search I had a thread this time last year with window 8(hate)...LOL

Disabling driver signatures is a bit of a hassle to find now. Here is a tutorial that outlines it:

I played with mine for awhile, and finally took it to AZ. Computer Guru, who did something with windows and allowed it to run. Cost me $60, but it worked. Only thing was, my computer kept telling me I'm not running genuine windows, but have had it updated since then with no problems.

has anyone tried running win xp in a VM ? windows has free VM software IIRC
