Show some love to your daily driver. The car that gets you around day to day but doesn't get the love the Turbo Regal gets. Post some info, pictures, or whatever else you want to share about that special ride in your life.

The "Red Dragon"
1998 VW Jetta TDI 5 speed
1.9 AHU Turbo Diesel Rocket Chip 2/3 tuned
EGR Delete with no Cat
50 MPG avg!!!!!!!!!

This is honestly the worst looking car I have ever owned. I really dont like the way it looks but I LOVE this car. It's not the smoothest ride but the gas milage is incredible. In the past 2 years I have driven this car HARD up and down the east coast. FL, VA, MS, NC, SC, and GA. Lots of road time and has never let me down. I keep the maintenance up on her really well and she is 100% mechanically sound with 208k miles. The VW diesels are really impressive with their torque, reliability, and fuel economy. I bought this car as a purpose car to drive a lot and save money on fuel and it has paid itself off a few times over. I will always own a diesel daily driver from this point on. I get made fun of at work because people do not picture driving this car and honestly neither do I but I dont care. She has treated me well and I would like to show her some love. Here are some pictures of my "Red Dragon".

Sweet... 50mpg is spectacular!

My dd is a 97 Honda Civic HX - at only 43mpg
It's name is "Honda Power" (yes, I know. I'm very creative) :D
I'll have to get a pic later.

I'm in a similar boat. I've never liked Hondas but I needed reliability and mpg for my long commute. This is one of the uglier cars I've owned. It has some rust, It's not stylish, it's not fast, it's not very comfortable, it doesn't handle very well and yet I, too, find myself really loving this car.

It starts every time. It's easy to work on. Parts are cheap. Everything is relatively well made. And at 243,000 miles I am confident enough to drive it anywhere, anytime.

My plans for it are to try some ecomodding and see if I can squeeze 50 mpgs out as well.

50 MPG, huh?
This thing is good for about 8 MPG around town, maybe 12 MPG freeway.
Now on the other hand, it gets me to where I am going pretty quick.

2005 Cadillac Eacalade. Bought in 2006 with 11k miles on it. Now at 10 years old and 150k miles. Still looks and drives like its new. I did a mini restoration last summer. New grille, new rims from a 2015 Escalade, and new suspension. Only repairs have been a power window motor and an airbag sensor replaced. Driven 52 miles daily. Love this thing almost as much as my GN.

BTW...the gas mileage is around 14 MPG...but I don't worry much about that.

2003 Duramax. 335,000 miles and counting. And yes....I was stuck in this picture lmao. Trailer was heavy, ground was much softer than I thought and I was stuck before I realized it. Once stuck 4wd was worthless lol

87 Regal limited. It's a V-8 car. Gas mileage not the greatest but it looks decent and has been a reliable daily driver.
