While changing the fluid I noticed the spider gears are shot. Fortunately it still drives perfect and the ring gear looked ok. Current plan is to take it to SpeedTek unless someone has other options.

if you can change the gear oil, you can change the spider gears..... thought about trying yourself?

That's a very real option and why I'm taking it slow right now. I have sufficient skills for this task. The problem is it is my work car. One wrong part and the wife will be driving me to work. You know what that means :) Well, you have convinced me. I'll start lining up the parts and plan it for when I have extra time. I love this board. You get great advice. Thanks!

Consider Fort Worth Gear and Axle? I've only had 1 issue with them and they covered it 100%.

It's very easy.. go to drivetrainspecialists.com... buy new spider gears, wave spring and pin retaining bolt from them.

YOU NEED A NEW BOLT no matter what.. there's a chance the one in it will snap off when removing it, but walking it out with a pick is easy...

Have you looked on youtube for a how-to video?
