Pinging noise in torque converter/flywheel area

my car is making a noise at the torque converter flywheel are. i checked out the flywheel and theres no damage everything seems ok. i have no idea what this is. has anyone ever experianced this before? any input would be greatly appreciated

Did you pull the trans back and check between the bolts on the flexplate? The stock units have been known to have cracks form between the bolt holes. As it spins a noise can be made.

X2 Have to pull trans to inspect. I had one cracked and it made a chirping noise. No way of seeing it with trans bolted up.
