  The perma dry valve cover gaskets 50156T have two tabs, part of the steel shim, at the bottom that overlap the inside ridge of the cover. These need trimmed off so the gasket fits inside the cover rim??? You would think they should be made to fit without any "modifying"
 Thanx in advance - Dan Lephart:biggrin:

Hi,
I haven't used these gaskets, but it sounds like they were designed for other than our cast valve covers, like maybe the plain jane stamped steel covers!? As I remember, even they had reinforced rails to prevent oil seepage.
Wierd, to be sure. Please let us know what you find.

 I used sheet metal snips and trimmed the tabs off. Worked great. NO MORE VALVE COVER LEAK!:)
