I have been out of the painting scene for many years so hopefully this isn't a dumb question but given the new technololgy in paints these days is there any GOOD way to paint over a chrome bumper?
If worse comes to worse I may strip the chrome off but if there is a new way to do it I'd rather not..

thnx
ks:)

I'VE DONE SOME IN THE PAST...........JITTERBUG WITH 80 GRIT, PRIME WITH PPG CATALIZED EPOXY PRIMER.....DP40, STICKS PRETTY GOOD. PAINT WITH YOUR CHOICE OF TOPCOAT. ;)

Sand blasting with silicon will get you the same results as the 80 grit and goes a little faster if you have access that is. Then veriprime (dupont) this sticks really well (I believe the same product as the ppg) Then base coat clear coat works. The clear helps protect the paint and make it more durable. Just what we have found.
