Ordered mine in April of '86 and had the dealer hold the order until the '87 model year. One of the first '87 turbo cars made. Car arrived at the dealer mid Aug. but I had to wait over 3 weeks for the paperwork. I have on old picture somewhere of my car with the big foam shipping block still on the front bumper

Me! Ordered my 85 GN in 84 and waited 3 months to take delivery. Couldn't even test drive a GN before ordering. Pics back then weren't digital... need to scan in a few.

Ordered mine in Feb 87 and was dekivered in May 87. I got the car with all the stickers and wrappers on it. The rear tire came that way from the factory with the smiley face on it. I guess some one had a sense of humor. The green sticker says: do not start bad engine noise. Found it under the drivers seat. The car still has the original engine in it. Maybe changed at the factory?

I still have the 1986 info book where I picked out the options I wanted. Then wound up taking an 86 off the lot from another dealer that no one wanted.

Purchased 87 GN with 153 miles on Janaury 19, 1988 delivery February 11, 1988... took this photo in my dad's driveway, 7 blocks from dealership, drove it home, parked it until spring, then in summer drove it to Myrtle Beach, SC, removed headrests so I could add seatcovers, yet expose headrests, later covered headrests so they didnt fade,
