Organizing a car show... How too?

Wondering if someone could give some advice on organizing a car show as a fundraiser for a Christian School.

I have attended a few but never showed a car so I was wondering what is the best way to generate $$, get participants and attract spectators. What to have/offer for prizes and where to start with classes etc. Since it is for the school we can use thier parking lot as a location.

Any help is appreciated.

Do a search. I recall a thread several weeks ago regarding this same topic. Someone replied with a laundry list of all of the small details on how to organize a show.
