im running a flat tapped cam wat is the best oil thickness.i recently did an oil change valvoline full synthetic 10-40 and i can hear the whole internals grinding.no check engine ran fine just little shaky and loud when i drove uphill it felt normal so is it to thin?

I have an unopened block and I use 10W-30 Valvoline conventional with a bottle of ZDDP. FWIW

What, the engine is rattling, like no oil pressure? Synthetic should not cause such a severe reaction. More info, please.

dont know y it sounds like that im just gonna drain it 2morrow and put in the green oil i didnt at first cuz of an oil leak and didnt wanna waist it but my car sounds like crap at idle and running and it also got 10 degrees warmer then usual it has oil prssure about 40 at idle

actualy i think i found the problem if not the durablend synthetic oil then its gonna b the converter was changed a few days ago and this was the first time engine ran right after install.i eighther damaged the flywheel or bad converter...thanks guys im restarting the tread in tranny section.
