i rebuilt my oil pump the same way it was when i bought it but for some reason it leaked, so i got the same HV kit that was in the car and i have 2 plates and only 2 gaskets with the kit. do i have too many plates? one has dowl pins and i have a gasket that looks to fit it and i have a solid plate and a gasket to fit it but looks like there is not a gasket to go between the solid plate and the oil filter plate? where am i goin wrong? TIA

You'll need 3 gaskets. Be careful on the clearances, if too tight you'll break something. Are you doing this with the cover on the car? If so, when you put it together make sure you can turn the shaft by hand with a screw driver through the cam sensor hole.

i have already had it together with just 3 gm standard gaskets and it worked great had 60 cold and 30 hot and there is no scratches on the plate i took out so i guess i will get another gasket and put it together thanks for your help
