Is there a way to remove the oil pan with the engine in the car ? I was told it is possible with the crank in a certain position.Thank you for your time.

I did mine, replaced a leaking gasket. Hardest part was removing the exhaust crossover pipe.

Yes, very possible. Remove the xover and converter inspection cover to make it easier, but when it comes time to pull the pan, you may have to rotate the crank a bit so the counterbalance on the front of the motor is up and not down in the way. Take your time, don't force anything, and use a light and mirror to make sure the crank is not in the way. Don't forget, you also have to work the pan baffle around the oil pump pickup tube, so take your time.
