bracket racing today and I got paired with a 2001 Ram Air T/A with a 250 shot, 3000 converter, cat-back and Nittos. I ran a 8.19@91 to his 8.85@80....he was pissed when we got back to the pits. Silly LS1 car needed more juice to get by grandma's Regal

wow nice kill, i would of thought that ta would be way faster than a 8.5 &
only 80 mph. didn't those run mid to hi 13's stock

good run man, but something was drastically wrong with that TA... my sisters bone stock to the tires and filter auto 00 Z28 went 8.4 at 85 mph on her way to a 13.19 at 105. But good run either way

he said his DR's were about shot and he was hot lapping the car...but excuses are like A-holes, everyone has 'em and they all stink ;)

Like other have already said T/A's run 8.80's stock with decent drivers........BS on the 250 shot crap.......

I think a 3.8L Camaro could beat that with a 250 shot, provided everything held up.

ls1

cant be that slow. My 2000 ss went 13.3 @ 102 in the 1/4 with FRA!, lid, & nitto 17 inch dragradials. With 3200 stall, headers, cutout, ls1 edit the car went 12.44@108. N/A I might add. My T went 12.9@109 & I love the tr's better but dang that guy either had a dream the previous night about having a 250 shot then woke up to reality. Besides an ls1 intake manifold doesnt like a wet system due to puddling. The stock injectors, fuel pump are only good to 125 safely on a dry shot with a good ls1 or hp tune. If he had that 250 shot on a stock motor it would have been a bomb going off. Nice kill either way but I have alot of f body friends that can tell you that person was very very confused.

There had to be something wrong with that car, my bolt-on NA C5 with stock heads/cam went high 7s in the 1/8th all day long, best 1/4 was 11.63@115.1 with stock manifolds and all 4 cats in place. Good kill, but don't expect them all to be that easy

LS1's are pretty darn fast. Maybe it was an LT1. I have seen bone stock LS1's run 13's at over 105 mph in the 1/4 with stock street radials. That bird would of ran low 11's or maybe faster with that much juice.

LS1's with a convertor, tires, and only a 150 shot typically go 7.5 around here. But, they are capable of running bigger shots than people think. The guy may have a 250 shot, so watch out next time. The fastest stock bottom end (even the stock hyp pistons) has gone 9.6Xs 325hp shot!!!!

Sorry for the resurrection, but I just couldn't resist. My car has gone 8.75 @ 84 with just a different air filter box assembly. Low-mid 13s at 106 in the 1/4. This is with an auto tranny and 2.73 gears, not exactly optimal for the 1/8 mile. That guy's car has problems.
Good job on the 8.19, it'll be a while before my LS1 can match that.
