$20000 OBO I have a very nice fully built 1987 Buick Grand National with only 85,000 original chassis miles and about 2-3000 on the new engine tranny setup and FRESH BLACK PAINT. I have owned this vehicle since January 2006 and when I bought it, it was in pretty rough condition. The engine was pretty beat up and the tranny was in bad shape as well as the rear end and exterior. Over the last 4.5 years I have put about $27,000 into it in parts, machine work and labor only NOT including the original buying cost of the vehicle. I know this is a lot of money to ask for a car in these hard times but once you see the car you will understand why I am asking so much (the price is slightly negotiable). I know this car inside and out and can walk you through the entire vehicle and all the upgrades. I have receipts to prove everything I have put into the tranny and engine and they come with the car (all machine work was done at U.S. Automotive Performance in loveland CO by Jeff, if you know them you also know how good they are). I will list all of the upgrades that I can think of following this posting and if you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask. The car does leak a small amount of oil due to the racing girdle that is on the car, it is very rare to find a car with a girdle that doesnt leak a small amount of oil . Honestly I am not really interested trades at this time. I really need to money to pay off some bills. Let me know if you have any questions. SERIOUS INQUIRES ONLY PLEASE.

I forgot to mention earlier that I got the car appraised by Antique Auto Appraisals from Cheyenne Wyoming (very reputable) on January 6 2011 and it came in at $27,500 for private party value. Mechanical was rated as excellent, exterior was rated as excellent, Glass was rated as excellent and the interior was rated as very good (due to it being almost all original and showing some wear from the years). The appraiser attached a note that reads

"This is a very clean and extremely desirable Buick Grand National. It has custom 17" wheels with Pirelli tires. Custom Auto Meter gauges and a B&M shift has been added on the inside. A hood mounted tachometer has been installed. In addition a larger turbocharger has been installed, as well as supporting fuel and air systems."

It is actually a hood mounted fuel gauge but he misread it. Point being I am asking much less than what he appraised the vehicle to be worth. The reason for this is that I need the money and the car sits in my shop and doesn't get the attention I used to give it (full time mechanical engineering student so I don't have the time). I hate to see the car go after 5 years of ownership but its time for someone else to enjoy it.

Thanks
-Andrew

SO the car is value at 15,500 wright.

Cant tell if you're being facetious or not but that's the wholesale price... That's the price a dealership would pay for the vehicle (or the price a dealership would use if they were going to trade for it) and that why I'm not selling it to a dealer. If you saw the vehicle you would jump on $20,000...

did you change rims and tires before or after you took pics of car doing burnouts:confused:

I changed the wheels and tires long after I took the burnout picture. That picture was taken before the rebuild of the engine and tranny and before the repaint.

Come on seriously??

I mean Sometimes these cars are taken to the strip and run down the 1/4 mile !!

Does that effect the price ?

This car was build to be driven. And driven they should be!

I have an 04 Bonneville out back that went from Buffalo NY to Ottawa On in 4.5 hours, it doesn't effect that value !

Hahaha I have definitely put this car through the strokes! When I built it I wanted a fast but very comfortable street car. The car is very impressive and at a 40 punch it turns the back tires to mush  I love the car and have never driven a more fun vehicle but I just don't have the time for it anymore and need the cash :frown:

to most people purchasing something the care of the product does matter. you like it you buy it

beautiful car!! That paperwork is definitely going to help you sell from a nationwide point of view!!! I wish I had that kind of money to blow on a GN!!

org i was just messing around. making a joke
guess nobody got it. good luck with your car . unfort its out of my range
