I got a 9" 3000 non-lockup stall and I also got the transgo non-l/up kit becouse I read that all I needed to do is to take the o ring off the input shaft and change the valve...My question is that the valve is under the the l/up solenoid right?

Also take out the orifice capsule "little star thing inside the hole at the end of the input shaft" right?

Just making sure .....It looks really easy and I cant wate to feel the difference from the orange stripe to this 9".....should be  ...lol.

Right. Take the lockup solenoid out. The snap ring. The retainer. Remove your lockup valve and 2 springs out and install the n/l valve and retainer and snap ring. Take oring off input and pull out ball/capsule and you are ready. Hardest part is pulling the trans out. :)

capsule

I use a 1/4 in. standard thread tap to insert in the capsule--rotate clockwise and pull--some a little more trouble than others--once you break them loose it will come out.
