I just recently finished up my 87 conversion on my 85 GN and while out driving it noticed that the car will not go into fourth gear. The trans worked fine before the conversion and neither the engine or trans came out of the car for the conversion. I tried adjusting the detent cable by pushing in on the metal half moon and pulling back towards the firewall but cable wouldnt pull out any farther so I was thinking it was all the way out. It was low on fluid so I topped it off and still no shift into fourth. It shifts fine in all other gears. Any thoughts as to what I need to try next?
