No Electrical Power After Burned Alternator Wire

The wire from the battery to the alternator grounded against one of the header tubes. All electrical power was lost. We replaced the entire wire but still there is no electrical power at all. Could the battery have been totally drained or could there have been some fuses blown, and if so where would I find the fuses? Thank you for any advice.

Check the fuses and the fusable links off of the starter.

Get your voltmeter out too and find out exactly where you do and do not have power.
